One of our goals is to help promote social work to a larger audience. After the success of our Top Social Work Professors on Twitter list, we decided to start researching graduate schools of social work that are actively using Twitter to engage with students and the social work community. We compiled this list as a resource for both prospective students who are looking for more information about campus and online MSW programs, and for members of the social work community who are looking for online resources. We definitely recommend following all of these schools of social work on Twitter.
To make our list, the following graduate schools had to be active on Twitter and have a minimum number of Tweets and/or followers. Programs were considered active if they Tweet multiple times per week. Additional programs that did not make our top list are included at the bottom of the page. Many of these programs did not meet the minimum activity threshold for inclusion in our list, but can still be a valuable resource for those interested in the field of social work.
We plan to update this list quarterly in order to stay current with graduate schools that are active on Twitter. If you think a program should be added during our next update, please let us know at @onlinemsw.
