California State University (CSU), Chico Hybrid MSW Program
California State University offers a hybrid MSW program with traditional and advanced standing options. The program has a concentration in Advanced generalist social work practice with focus areas in mental health or youth & family services. A cohort model is followed with both synchronous and asynchronous learning. Being a hybrid model, students are required to visit campus two weekends a semester. Cohorts begin in the fall every three years with the next admission available in 2021 (advanced standing options offered in the third year of each cohort, so in 2020 and 2023).

To graduate, traditional standing students are required to complete 61 credit hours as well as 1,200 hours of field education. Currently this program is offered part-time and can be completed in three years. The advanced standing option is a one year full-time program requiring at least 34 credit hours. CSU online MSW program is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
