California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) Hybrid MSW Program

The California State University, Long Beach offers a hybrid online MSW program that follows a cohort model. A traditional standing option is available with concentrations in children, youth and families. Classes are held on Saturday at specific locations throughout the entire course of the program. Most classes are offered via teleconferencing with frequent in-person visits by experienced CSULB faculty, along with some online content. Students are able to use teleconferencing to view and speak to on campus faculty via large screen and microphones.

Traditional standing students course requirements to graduate require 60 credits hours, and 1000 hours of field education. This program is a part-time program only and can be completed in 3 years. Admissions will be in fall only. The MSW degree fulfills all requirements related to graduate school work education for state licensure and professional social work credentials. The degree program is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
