University of Central Florida Online MSW Program

The University of Central Florida’s School of Social Work offers a fully online Master of Social Work (MSW) program available in two tracks: a Traditional track for students who do not hold a BSW, and an Advanced Standing track for qualifying BSW holders. Both tracks are completed entirely online, with the exception of in-person field placements, which the UCF field office coordinates locally within approximately 45 miles of the student’s location. No campus visits are required.

The online program operates on a cohort model, with courses delivered in seven-week terms and students taking one course at a time. The curriculum focuses on Clinical Social Work Practice with Individuals, Families, Groups, and Communities. Graduates meet the educational eligibility criteria for licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Florida; students in other states are advised to verify requirements with their applicable state credentialing authority.
