Indiana University Online MSW Program

Indiana University currently offers two part-time online MSW programs, one designed for traditional students and one for advanced standing students. The MSW direct program is one of the few online MSW programs that does not use a cohort model, meaning students can take classes as they choose. This is ideal for students who may not be able to take classes every semester, but who still want to pursue a MSW online. The only restriction is that the program must be completed within five years.

Both the traditional program and the advanced standing program have this requirement. All other instruction is online and the field practicums are completed at a local health services agency. Traveling to the campus is a great opportunity to meet instructors and fellow classmates, and also gives students the opportunity to feel more connected to the university and campus.

Indiana University’s MSW Direct online MSW programs are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and are the same degree programs as the ones taken on campus.
