Valdosta State University Hybrid MSW Program
Valdosta State University offers a MSW hybrid online program with multiple paths. Part and full-time options are available for traditional standing and full-time is available for the advanced standing program. With a concentration in Advanced Generalist Practice students are able to gain knowledge, values, ethics, and skills to engage in multi-level practice with individuals, families, organizations and communities. To accommodate students with full time jobs and busy schedules, VSU only requires five weekend classes with the remainder to be completed online.

Application requirements consist of a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on last two years of coursework and 2.5 for all undergraduate coursework, three letters of recommendation, and one Official Transcript from each institution where you have previously enrolled. Advanced Standing program applicants must have completed a BSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program within the last five years.
To graduate, traditional standing students are required to complete 60 credit hours and 940 hours of field experience, while advanced standing students are only required to complete 33 credit hours and 540 hours of field experience.
The Department of Social Work is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
