University of Maine Online-Hybrid MSW Program
The University of Maine offers an online-hybrid MSW program that follows a cohort model with some synchronous but mainly asynchronous structure. Traditional and advanced standing options are available with concentrations in advanced generalist. Students are only required to physically visit campus two Saturdays per semester, classes will meet live at the Hutchinson Center in Belfast.

For traditional standing students, course requirements to graduate require 63 credits hours, and 900 hours of field education. Advanced standing students are required to complete 46 credit hours and 500 hours of field education. Both programs are available in a part time option and take three years for traditional and two years for advanced. Curriculum is designed to enable graduates to undertake diverse and complex social problems and apply multi-level assessment, intervention, and evaluation strategies to the problems of persons in their environment.
With the use of a computer, webcam, microphone, and learning management systems, students will engage in most classes without the need to be online at a particular day or time. Admissions for traditional students is in the fall only while the advanced standing is in the summer only. University of Maine online MSW program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
